The governorship candidate for the Labour Party Mr Uduakobng Udoh says will wipe out cultism in Akwa Ibom State by engaging the members with production ventures.
He said what gave birth to the high rate of cultism in the state stemmed from the fact that they were used and abandoned by their paymasters.
Uduakobng Peter Udoh equally said youths of Akwa Ibom will be given the pride of place if he is elected as the governor of the state in various ICT ventures in Google and Twitter.
The Labour Party guber candidate who was addressing a cross-section of Akwa Ibom States Executive, Senatorial Districts, and Ward Coordinators of The Big Tent Movement in Uyo at the weekend said Akwa Ibom people will be released from the chains of slavery caused by some present and past leaders of the state.
He said during his time as the governor of the state local government areas will be made to generate enough funds in addition to funds from other sources to enable it completely be independent.
Mr. Udo said he plans to establish a cooperative bank for Akwa Ibom to act as a clearing house for the various industries to be established as well as bring in the Agricultural Bank and the NEXIM bank to operate in the state for the benefit of all.
The candidate said he intends to support traders in the state with loans and grants to help revamp the economy.
On health, Mr. Uduakobong Udo said pregnant women, the aged, and children will have free medical treatment in all the hospitals in Akwa Ibom as part of efforts to keep the society healthy.

He said no contractor in the state will be without jobs in order to keep employing the citizens.
The Big Tent coordinator in the state, Mr King Akpabio who received the governorship candidate on behalf of the members of the group said the Big Tent was ready to work in partnership with the candidate to enable him to realize his dreams.
King Akpabio told the visitor that the movement is working tirelessly to ensure Mr Peter Obi wins the next Presidential election.
