Ukanafun / Oruk Anam federal constituency representative Mr. Unyime Idem has marked the construction of the Amiamiaowo / Akpan Assiek market street in the Ukanafun local government area in Akwa Ibom state.
He said it was part of his plans to connect rural communities in the federal constituency with a good road network to revive the rural economy and help farmers evacuate their agricultural produce to urban centers.
Mr. Idem also noted that the construction of the road will help merchants transport their wares to and from the market. The lawmaker thanked the beneficiary communities for their collaboration and urged them to remain peaceful and united.
He urged them to continue working with the contractors to complete the project on time and successfully.

The Ukanafun-born lawmaker promised to attract more development projects for the federal constituency.
The initiator of the 5,000 youth skills development program listed other roads to be built soon, including Police Station/Ikot Udo Obobo/Idung Eka Uyo/Ikot Akpa Nkuk Road and Motor Park Road. The others are NIFOR Substation Road and Ikot Ukpongeren Bridge in Oruk Anam Administrative Area.
In his response, the project manager, speaking on behalf of contractor Rolinks Technologies Limited, thanked people for the warm welcome and for working with his team. He assured me that the project will be completed within three months.
Recall that in May this year the executive legislator flagged off the construction of the Ikot Akpa Nkuk-Nyak Iba-Usung Atiat-Ikot Akpa Idem- Ikot Udombang Road which has been completed and is waiting for the inauguration.
