Nigeria’s Super Eagles suffered a 4-0 defeat at the hands of World Cup contenders Portugal in an international friendly on Thursday.
Portugal took the lead in the 9th minute thanks to Manchester United’s midfield maestro Bruno Fernandes.
Bruno later converts from the spot in the 35th minute to cap off a dominant first half from A-Selecao in Lisbon.

Quick goals from Goancalo Ramos and Joao Mario in the 82nd and 84th minutes completed Portugal’s defeat by the former African champions who will not be present at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Portugal will now shift focus to the current World Cup in Qatar. They are drawn in Group H alongside South Korea, Ghana, and Uruguay.
The team, led by Fernando Santos, opens its campaign against Ghana on 24 November.
