The Nigerian COVID-19 Summit will host Anthony Fauci as part of efforts to redefine the country’s national COVID -19 response and build the country’s health security framework.
Mr. Fauci, the Chief Medical Adviser to US President Joe Biden as well as the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the United States, will speak at the summit.
The summit, which is being organized in collaboration with the Coalition of Development Partners, will take place in Abuja from December 6 to December 8, 2021.
Mukhtar Muhammed, Technical Head, Presidential Steering Committee (PSC) on COVID-19, made this known to journalists in Abuja.
According to Mr. Mohammed, the PSC had also mobilized all critical stakeholders, including development partners, for this important National Summit.
“The support we have received thus far from our development partners and the private sector has encouraged and heartened us.”
With only one day until the start of this summit, which will help us redefine our national COVID-19 response and build the country’s health security framework,” he added.
He did, however, encourage Nigerians and the international community to visit the summit’s website.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman PSC on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, has stated that in preparation for the committee’s dissolution, a COVID-19 summit will be held in collaboration with the Coalition of Development Partners in the country.
