2023 POLLS: A’Ibom PDP Women Stakeholders Assure To Work For Party’s Success

As the events leading up to the 2023 general elections in Akwa Ibom State gather momentum, the women of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have assured that they stand ready to ensure continued engagement at different levels to contribute to the success of the party in order to ensure their appearance in state polls.

At a meeting in Uyo, PDP women, who gathered to discuss issues of concern to the party, including the 2023 general elections, agreed that the success  of the PDP was of paramount importance to them, while reaching a consensus to work together to work the victory of the party.

Addressing women, the state chairman of the party, the Elder Aniekan Akpan, acknowledged their role in deepening democracy and their numerical strength in deciding the emergence of leaders at every election, while urging them to keep working for the success of the party.

“We have female leaders at different levels who are making a positive impact. I encourage you to go home, step up, and deliver the PDP as you always have. I’m so impressed with what women are doing and that’s why we feel so encouraged to give women more opportunities in government.” “Women are in the majority and that’s a  . Try to collaborate with your various stakeholders for the success of our great celebration. We have a good record. We must maintain this record and do even better. It’s good to work with everyone because we have a structure and we have to keep it,” he said.

For her part, the wife of PDP gubernatorial candidate, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, who praised the women for their qualities, explained that the standard bearer of the PDP governor, Pastor Umo Eno, wanted to build on the legacy of Governor Udom Emmanuel and Akwa to take Ibom to greater heights.
