The people of Akwa Ibom are in dire need of the promised industries by the past administration to drive the economic growth and progress of the state in more than eight years ago

Looking back, it appears that progress has not yet been made to address this issue, and many wonder what happened and why all these promises did not materialize as expected except for one or two which will soon foldup..

We are yet to know if the lack of sufficient power supply, transportation support systems and basic amenities are some contributing problems which slow down or hinders the commencement of effective activities

But I know that despite this difficult challenge, optimism remains that Akwa Ibom can turn around its fortunes with a continued effort from both private enterprise and government support partnering to form a successful force for economic growth.

Too often, promises are not followed up with action and resources remain inaccessible due to poor infrastructure and poverty in some areas.

This has left many feeling neglected as they continue to face inadequate services without being provided any real solutions or relief from their struggles.

I believe that it is an affront on human dignity for these individuals who deserve better than what their current reality leaves out today given the poor state of the nation’s economy – it’s time for change!

The anger felt by those affected boils over at hearing about another promise broken when all should be demanding legitimate actions towards progress instead!

This seems to spark a great deal of anger among the citizens as they feel let down and taken advantage of by those who were in power and those who are currently leading us in different strata of authority .

It’s time for action:  we need proper jobs that provide security and stability so our children can strive growing up with pride in knowing that progress is possible!

The people of Akwa Ibom are fed up with celebrating politicians that only bring false promises. Industries have been promised for years, locations not known, however not a single one has come out from these promises and it is just another form of exploitation – empty words were used instead of actions taken. It’s time that aspiring leaders and those already in power make tangible steps in solving our problems otherwise their fake pledges will no longer earn any trust among locals who are tired after decades suffering without proper support and development!

It’s time for this cycle to stop! People deserve real solutions from their elected officials instead of being promised things they will not see any result from at all.

Akwa Ibom people have kept quiet for too long, watching politicians build skyscrapers for hotels and their private homes from our tax money while school children sit under trees to receive lessons. Our local government areas are seen as glorified villages.

It’s time for government takes action on the treasury looters those who have lied too long about improvements which may or may not ever materialize.

My conclusion is that there is however hope as more investors are increasingly showing an interest in investing into Akwa Ibom with reports indicating potential investments worth over one billion dollars in the pipeline. Steps should be taken towards fast-tracking a sustained development process particularly in agriculture through which increasing income can be generated for rural area inhabitants alongside job creation opportunities across all sectors throughout the state.
