Reinforcing the essence of the initiative, Prince Ntukudeh described Akwa Ibom United as a call for collective identity and purpose—bringing together all citizens of the state irrespective of ethnic background, tribe, or kindred, to work as one family towards sustainable progress and shared prosperity.

He made these remarks on Wednesday while receiving members of the AKINEMP Steering Committee, led by its Chairman, Patrick Albert, during a courtesy visit to his office in Uyo.

Commending the formation of the media body, Ntukudeh noted that AKINEMP represents a strategic platform designed to promote, protect, and defend the interests of Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District—its people, resources, and collective heritage. He emphasized that the district, comprising nine local government areas, remains the heartbeat of the state, not merely because of its size but due to the strength and quality of its constituent communities.

According to him, true development of the district must be anchored on unity, professionalism, and a shared sense of responsibility. He therefore urged media practitioners within the forum to uphold the highest standards of journalism, stressing the importance of peace, love, and cohesion both among themselves and across the nine local government areas.

Drawing from his wealth of experience as a former Commissioner for Transport and past International President of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, Prince Ntukudeh expressed his willingness to collaborate with AKINEMP in advancing political awareness and strengthening stakeholder engagement in the state.

Speaking further, he highlighted the achievements of Governor Umo Eno, pointing to several landmark projects that reflect the administration’s forward-thinking vision. These include the new Oron Beach, the near-completed ARISE Park, the sports academy in Eket, the international market in Ikot Ekpene, ongoing road infrastructure projects, and the international hospital—all of which, he said, demonstrate a deliberate effort to drive economic growth and improve the quality of life for citizens.

Earlier in his remarks, Elder Patrick Albert explained that the visit was aimed at strengthening ties with the Political Adviser, recognizing his role as a key stakeholder in the development of Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District. He reiterated that AKINEMP’s mission is centered on fostering collaboration among stakeholders and supporting indigenes of the district to attain leadership positions across various sectors.

Albert acknowledged Governor Umo Eno as a proud son of the district who deserves the collective support of the people. He also praised members of the administration from the region for their contributions towards the success of the ARISE Agenda.

“We recognize and appreciate the outstanding performance of His Excellency in executing people-oriented projects across the state,” Albert stated. “His administration’s commitment to clearing pensions and gratuities is particularly commendable. From an inherited backlog of ₦111 billion dating back to 2012, over ₦80 billion has been paid—this is a clear demonstration of compassionate and people-centered leadership.”

He further noted that Akwa Ibom State is currently enjoying a climate of political harmony, unity, and peace, attributing this to the inclusive and humane leadership style of Governor Umo Eno.

The meeting ended on a note of mutual understanding, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to collaboration in advancing the unity, development, and collective aspirations of Akwa Ibom State.
