Governor Udom Emmanuel has advised Nigeria on proper utilization of oil and gas reserve in Akwa Ibom
The Governor raised the issue at Government House when he received the Minister of state for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva who is leading a delegation of NNPC Board members and other stakeholders to Akwa Ibom for a conference.
The Governor posited that such policies would further open up the sector for job creation and economy growth.
The Governor drew attention of the Minister to the world class facilities at Victor Attah International Airport and others strategically located in the state to fast track investment and development.
He said the airport, for instance, would provide a strategic point for fuelling of aircrafts and if harnessed could provide aviation services for the West African region.
The state chief executive appreciated the Minister and other stakeholders in the Oil and Gas sector for choosing Akwa Ibom to host their Conference and wished them fruitful deliberations.
The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva and leader of the delegation said that they were in the state to seek collaboration for the revamping of refineries and thanked Governor Emmanuel for the warm reception. Bottom of Form
