Region officers, Lions Clubs International, District 404-A2 Region 8 on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to Past Region Chairperson, Lion Elder Ezekiel Umoh, MJF, NLCF as parts of its programme to ensure Lions are carried along. Speaking on behalf of the officers, the Region 8 Chairperson, lion Enobong Ekefre thanked him for receiving them.
The officers informed Ln Umoh that membership of the region was dwindling especially at the Regions meetings, events and the need to widen the scope of the Lions Clubs activities beyond Uyo was important
They also told their host of the need to represent him for the District Cabinet Position while calling for his support in providing solutions to some of the problems of the club.

In his response, the Past Region Chairperson, Lion Ezekiel Umoh apologized for having postponed the visit twice due to unavoidable engagements and promised to do the much he can towards helping the growth of the Lions Clubs in Region 8 and Akwa Ibom State in general.
He promised to always be available in all Lions Clubs activities within his capacity and mobilize other senior Lion leaders towards same purpose.
He urged Lions clubs members in the Region to pay their dues as at when due to avoid cancellation charging club presidents to take the issue of dues seriously.
The highlight of the visit was the acceptance of Past Region Chairperson, Lion Umoh to vie again for the office of the 2VDG 404-A2.
He was decorated with the District Governor’s Service Pin.
