According to him, the report that went viral this week, in which he was reported as saying that some of Bello’s activities while his absence was illegitimate, is false.

Buni stated in a statement signed and made accessible to newsmen in Abuja on Thursday that Bello’s operations are still legitimate, and that he duly transferred power to the Niger State Governor before leaving for his trip overseas.

“This is to inform all stakeholders and members of the party that the alleged suspension of various operations by the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, led by acting Chairman and Niger State Governor, H.E. Muhammed Sani Bello, IS NOT TRUE,” he added.

“As a result, any actions taken during my absence are still valid and binding.

All party stakeholders and members are urged to reject the prior statement dismissing the Committee’s work under the Acting Chairman’s leadership.

“It may be noted that I duly transmitted power to His Excellency, the Governor of Niger State, H.E. Muhammed Sani Bello, in order for me to receive medical treatment.

As a result, all actions and measures taken by the Committee while he served as Acting Chairman are still in effect.”He stated that the APC is currently seeking cooperation and understanding in order to carry the party ahead to a successful Convention on March 26th, 2022.
