In an inspiring address, Sir Unyime Ekwere, Chairman of the Truth and Reconciliation Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Etinan, Akwa Ibom State, emphasized the urgent need for unity within the party during the Committee’s inauguration by the chapter Chairman, Mr. Isareal Tomy.

Addressing a gathering of party members, Sir Ekwere underscored the importance of setting aside internal divisions for the greater good of the local government, the state, and its people.

Acknowledging the party’s historical commitment to unity and progress, Sir Ekwere highlighted the current challenges posed by internal discord. He called upon all members to prioritize dialogue, compromise, and mutual respect, emphasizing that diversity of opinion can strengthen the party’s resolve.

“We must set aside personal differences and prioritize the greater cause – the well-being of our local government, state, and its people,” stated the chairman.

Emphasizing the significance of solidarity, Sir Ekwere urged every member to wholeheartedly commit to the reconciliation process. He stressed that only through unity can the party win the upcoming elections and fulfill its duty to the people who have entrusted them with their hopes and aspirations.

The address concluded with resounding chants of “Long live the All Progressives Congress, Etinan, Akwa Ibom! Long live All Progressives Congress Nigeria!” as party members rallied behind the call for unity and solidarity.

The chairman’s impassioned plea for reconciliation signals a pivotal moment for the APC in Etinan, underscoring the party’s commitment to overcoming internal challenges and emerging stronger than ever before.

Meanwhile, the party’s leader, Obong Ini Obot, who witnessed the inauguration of the Committee, charged the members to be committed to the reconciliation process and not to be biased in carrying out their responsibilities. Chapter Chairman, Mr. Isareal Tomy, emphasized the need for unity and true reconciliation while appreciating the caliber of the Committee members, noting that they are individuals who have contested elections before, expressing confidence that they will reconcile the party and make it stronger than ever before.

Members of the Committee are Sir Unyime Ekwere Chairman, Utitofon Uko Secretary, Obong Awan Imo Essien member, Mr. Udeme Umoh member, and Mr. Ini Inyang member.
