Ikono/Ini Media Professionals concluded plans to spice up the 52nd birthday celebration of the President, Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Comrade Anestina Iweh.
The media organization is an indigenous print media corporation – publisher of The Nation Link, Global Gong, The Legacy Watch, and The Cradle Newspapers.
The group in collaboration with the Chairman, Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE), Uyo Chapter, Engr. Samuel Ukata said it would distribute 1,000 copies of branded exercise books to pupils/students in public primary and secondary schools across Ikono and Ini LGAs.

This was contained in a press release signed by the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Sage Idy Udofia, handed over to newsmen on Friday in Uyo.
According to the release, the two days event will last between Saturday 21st January to Monday 23rd of January 2023 with a visit to orphanage homes and newborn babies in different hospitals as part of the activities to mark the birthday celebration.

In the release, the organization further said that beyond the birthday anniversary, the distribution of the free exercise books forms part of its resolve to support the free and compulsory education of the state government.
It added that the group will present the books which will be donated to pupils and students to the celebrator on Saturday, 21st January 2023 at her residence followed by the grand finale of the event on Monday 23rd January 2023.
The release also noted that the gesture was in line with the media organization’s philosophy of encouraging, celebrating, and identifying with public officeholders from Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency who have no corrupt records in office.
It will be recalled that Ikono/Ini people, earlier on 22nd January 2022 inducted Anestina Iweh into the prestigious development Hall of Fame, resulting from her impactful contributions to the development of the area and service to humanity.
Anestina Iweh is a versatile unionist, the first female President of NULGE in Akwa Ibom State and has contributed immensely towards the development of the organization and its members.
