The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Obong Akanimo Udofia has refuted claims that he is the owner of Siadel Limited, a company allegedly indebted Hydrodive Nigeria Limited.
In a demand letter addressed to the Editor, Thisday newspapers by his Solicitors Babalakin & Co., dated 16 March 2023, the frontline business entrepreneur cum philanthropist who is also the Gubernatorial Candidate of the APC in Akwa Ibom State demanded for an immediate retraction of the defamatory piece published by Thisday newspapers and other social media platforms including Sahara Reporters.

In the letter, Udofia said he was not a Director of Siadel Limited and a “simple investigative due diligence would have verified this”. He said the publication was “alarming and unfair” and had caused him “considerable distress and embarrassment”.
