The weekend began at the Emirates where Arsenal showed their title credentials in one of the standout fixtures of EPL Matchday 4. They brushed aside Nottingham Forest with a 3 to 0 win, powered by two goals from Martín Zubimendi and another from Viktor Gyökeres. For new Forest manager Ange Postecoglou it was a tough introduction, while for Arsenal the victory kept them flying high.
At the Vitality Stadium Bournemouth pulled off a narrow 1 to 0 win over Brighton in another tight EPL Matchday clash. Brighton’s usually vibrant attack looked unusually flat. Elsewhere Crystal Palace and Sunderland played out a goalless draw at Selhurst Park. The weekend’s main event was the Manchester Derby and it was City who claimed bragging rights.
