The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the visiting Utah Jazz 106-101 on Wednesday, with LeBron James scoring 15 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter.
The Lakers also had to deal with Anthony Davis’s injury, as he rolled his ankle near the end of the second quarter and did not return.
The Jazz led 79-71 entering the fourth quarter before James, 37, led the Lakers’ dramatic comeback.
“What we saw LeBron do was simply amazing,” coach Frank Vogel said.
“What he continues to do at this point in his career, taking over a game in the fourth quarter with his energy, will, and determination, it was truly something special.”
In other news, Gregg Popovich, head coach of the San Antonio Spurs, earned his 1,333rd win as a head coach, moving him into second place on the all-time NBA list, when his team defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Only Don Nelson, who coached the Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, and Dallas Mavericks, has more wins than Popovich, who is 73.
The Spurs defeated the Thunder 114-106 thanks to 22 points from Keldon Johnson.
The New York Knicks blew a 28 point lead against the Brooklyn Nets at Madison Square Garden, falling 111-106.
It was the third time in 11 days that the Knicks had given up a 20-point lead or more.
Cam Thomas, a Nets rookie, scored 16 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter.

“When you get a big lead, you have to play tough with a lead,” Knicks veteran coach Tom Thibodeau said.”We haven’t learned how to play with a lead, so that’s something we haven’t done.
We haven’t done particularly well.”
The Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry scored 25 points, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a 117-116 loss to the Denver Nuggets.
With 5.9 seconds remaining, Curry completed a three-point play to give the Warriors a 116-114 lead.
The Nuggets won it on the final play of the game when Nikola Jokic (35 points) set up Monte Morris for a game-winning three-pointer.
The Phoenix Suns rallied for a 124-121 victory over the visiting Houston Rockets, led by Devin Booker’s 24 points and eight assists
Other teams that won on Wednesday included the Atlanta Hawks, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls, Portland Trail Blazers, and Toronto Raptors.
