New York Knicks Faced Tough Challenge
Trailing by 10 points at halftime, the Knicks staged a remarkable comeback largely fueled by Brunson’s efforts. Although he fell short of extending his streak of scoring 40 or more points in five consecutive postseason games, Brunson’s 29-point performance on 11-of-18 shooting, including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc, was pivotal. Additionally, he contributed five assists and three steals.
Following the game, Brunson expressed his relief at being able to return to action, emphasizing the team’s collective effort in securing the win. However, his absence in the second quarter left fans at Madison Square Garden puzzled, allowing the Pacers to gain momentum and outscore the Knicks with fast break opportunities and three-pointers.

Despite their victory, the Knicks faced injury setbacks, with OG Anunoby exiting the game due to a sore left hamstring, joining Mitchell Robinson on the sidelines.
However, the team rallied behind coach Tom Thibodeau’s mantra of resilience, with players like Donte DiVincenzo, Isaiah Hartenstein, and Josh Hart stepping up to fill the void and secure the crucial win.
