Former Senate Speaker Bukola Saraki says the huge crowd that attended the People’s Democratic Party- PDP presidential campaign flag ceremony in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State was a big message to the Nigerians.

The PDP launched a campaign for its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in Uyo on Monday.

Images of the event, which attracted a large number of supporters at the event, are circulating on social media platforms.

Responding to the success of the event, Saraki said in a post on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday that the former vice president had the capacity to deal with the security and economic crisis plaguing the country.

He wrote, “Yesterday our PDP party in Akwa Ibom State sent a great message to Nigerians. Our candidates have the ability to end uncertainty, improve economic growth and make people’s lives easier.

“As we launch our campaign to convince Nigerians why they should vote for us in 2023, our candidate Atiku Abubakar’s platform will surely unite Nigeria.
“With this launch, a new chapter opens. We will not be too weak to further extend the aims of our candidate to other parts of Nigeria

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is offering hope to Nigerians with the promise of checking vices plaguing the nation if their candidates are voted into the country’s number-one office in 2023.

Presidential Flag Bearer of the  PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar made the promise at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo where the PDP flagged off the presidential campaign code-named Rescue Mission.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, the PDP Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar re-echoed his commitment to rescue Nigerians from hunger and poverty and equally restore unity among all strata.

Alhaji Abubakar decried the challenges facing the nation, especially in the areas of security, economy, education, and poor infrastructure, saying if voted into power, he will work to restore the country’s lost glory.

In his remarks, Governor Udom Emmanuel who is Chairman of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council said with men and women of strong pedigree to manage resources, the PDP was out to make a difference.

Governor Emmanuel challenged the party faithful to be ready with their PVC and get set to join hands to build Nigeria by voting for PDP candidates at all levels.

The ceremony attracted goodwill messages from various sectors including stakeholders in the party, the PDP Governors forum, state chairmen of the PDP, women and youth wings, representatives of the national assembly, and the national leadership of the party with the Chairman Board of the Trustees of the PDP, Adolphus Nwagbara as the spokesperson.

The high point of the PDP presidential campaign flag-off was the presentation of the party’s flag to the flag bearer, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar by the National Chairman of the party, Senator Iyorchia Ayu.
