Issued at the End of the State Executive Council SEC/Stakeholders’ Meeting of

THE MOVEMENT (TM),

Akwa Ibom State,

Held on Saturday, 14th February 2026, at The Conference Hall of Silver Springs Hotels, 41 Obio Imo Street, Uyo.

PREAMBLE

We, the State Executive Council of The Movement (TM),

Akwa Ibom State gathered for a critical meeting on this day, February 14, 2026.

This communué serves to present our resolutions to the public.

1.0  ABOUT THE MOVEMENT (TM)

The Movement (TM) is a values-driven organization established with  Ambassador Sunday Ken Awoji as national Lead Ambassador and Hon. Pst. Ambassador Uwëm Brownson being the State Lead Ambassador for Akwa Ibom State who happens to be the National Award winner as the Outstanding Ambassador to promote good governance, responsible leadership, and people-centered development across Nigeria.

TM is a collective platform for like-minded Citizens who believe that Nigeria’s challenges require organized civic engagement, strategic mobilization, and principled leadership, rather than personality worship or blind partisanship.

TM serves as a space for strategy, unity, and purpose, where we engage thoughtfully, organize intentionally, and mobilize responsibly.

Our organizational structure comprises of  National Ambassadors with national headquarters in Abuja (FTC), Zonal Ambassadors, State Ambassadors, Local Government Council Ambassadors, Ward Ambassadors, and Polling Unit Ambassadors, supported by a Stakeholders/Advisory Board.

2.0 Visions and Mobilization Agenda in Akwa Ibom State

Our vision and agenda for mobilization in Akwa Ibom State are as follows:

  1. To build a robust grassroots political structure with lead Ambassadors in All States, Local Government Area (LGA), ward, and community.
  2. To ensure people-driven leadership and resist top-down imposition.
  3. To organize and unite grassroots mobilizers, influencers, and leaders.
  4. To support credible candidates committed to people-oriented development.
  5. To challenge anti-people politics and the imposition of leadership.
  6. To ensure that leaders are popularly chosen by the masses.
  7. To reclaim the people’s power and install accountable, credible leaders.

3.0 Deliberations and Grassroots Realities

The meeting provided a platform for stakeholders to:

  • Engage in meaningful, issue-based discussions.
  • Share grassroots insights and realities from their communities.
  • Contribute ideas, strategies, and innovative approaches for mobilization.
  • Identify and promote the criteria for credible leadership.\

Build trust, coordination, and collective resolve in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

All discussions were conducted with the guiding principles of respect, discipline, and shared ownership.

4.0 Ratification of Vote Of Confidence on performing National and State Leaders

Arising from it’s enlarged State council meeting of 14th February 2026, The Council resolved to Pass A Resounding  Vote Of Confidence on the following distinguishes performing Actors:

* His Excellency, Chief (Dr.) Godswill Obot Akpabio GCON Senate president of Nigerian, for his examplary leadership at the National level and his continued commitment to the Unity and progress of Akwa Ibom State.

* At the state level, After an exhaustive review of performance assessment of the current administration of His Excellency Pastor Umo Bassey Eno PhD,

4.1 Endorsement of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, for a Second Term:

The State Executive Council of TM. Unanimously Resolved to Support the second-term bid of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, Ph.D., Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

This decision was reached following a thorough and Audacious review of The ARISE Agenda, which has yielded significant developmental strides across the state.

Key achievements noted by the stakeholders include

  • Infrastructure and Aviation:
  • Construction and rehabilitation of over 1,210 kilometers of roads, including 84 “audacious projects” across all local government areas.
  • Strategic strengthening of Ibom Air through the acquisition of two new CRJ 900 Bombardier aircraft and two Airbus A220-300 series, and the preparation of the International Terminal at Victor Attah International Airport for operations.
  • Agriculture and Rural Empowerment:
  • Commissioning of 10 oil palm processing mills for women and the launch of an oil palm tree planting revolution using high-yield seedlings.
  • Disbursement of hundreds of millions of Naira in cash and equipment to beneficiaries through various empowerment programs.
  • Healthcare and Social Welfare:
  • Development of model primary healthcare centers and a new 350-bed Ibom International Hospital with oncology and specialist departments.
  • Operationalization of the ARISE Health Insurance Scheme (₦18,000 cover) and a 24-hour emergency ambulance service across the state.
  • Payment of over ₦78 billion in backlog gratuities and the construction of 205 ARISE Compassionate Homes for the vulnerable, with a target of 400.
  • Education and Youth Development:
  • Sponsorship of students for international exchanges and rehabilitation of model schools.
  • Payment of examination fees for nearly 49,000 candidates.

Launch of the ARISE Youth Employment Portal to connect 100,000 youths with job opportunities and the provision of monthly stipends to thousands.

  • Fiscal Discipline:
  • Implementation of a “No-Borrowing Policy” to fund over 50 ongoing “audacious projects” through prudent resource management.

On this note, The Movement has resolved to joins hands with all eligible voters in Akwa Ibom State to ensure his return for a second term in office.

4.2 Reaffirmation of Mandate as a Political Movement for Good Governance:

TM unequivocally reaffirms its status as a Political Movement with the cardinal aim of supporting, promoting, and monitoring good governance.

We remain committed to the entrenchment of democratic values, the rule of law, and the principles of accountability and transparency.

4.3 Commitment to Constructive Criticism as a Pressure Group:

The Movement restates its role as a pressure group in the state. We shall not hesitate to engage in constructive, evidence-based criticism of government policies and programs that are deemed anti-people or detrimental to the collective welfare of the citizens of Akwa Ibom State. Our criticism shall always be progressive and aimed at redirecting governance for the greater good.

5.0 Conclusion

The Movement (TM) in Akwa Ibom State is more than a platform; it is a movement of the people, by the people and for the people.

We call on all citizens to join us as we shape the future of Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria together. Every voice matters. Every contribution counts.
