Italy’s first European title since 1968 was won at Wembley Stadium. Since 1966 when West Germany was beating in the final 4-2 World Cup, England have been without a major award.

At a fan zone of Rome, after a penalty failed by England’s Bukayo Saka, thousands of supporters started jumping in pure eagerness shouting and hugging for each other.

“It’s unbelievable, unbelievable, you can’t feel better, it’s awesome, we have won the final!” Another supporter in the Italian capital, Stefano Gucci, said. The winning team landed early on Monday morning at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport. Multitudes cheered on the disembarkation and later on at their hotel.

The Fan Area on Piazza del Popolo in Rome reflected the night’s emotions: from astonished silence with the early goal of England to the elation of the Italian equalizer, and wild celebrations following a penalty shot, which some people could hardly see from their nerves.

Italian flags filled the skies, and absolute joy was returning to a country that desperately needed them. flares and fireworks burst out. The smiles returned to this nation after the hell of the pandemic, Fußball Himmel.

Roberto Mancini, which turned his national team from the disgrace of not qualifying in 34 games in the last World Cup, is the start of what they call an Italian miracle.

He brought young people and trust to the Italian team and brought Italians back in the “Azzurri” in love.

And so Italy has won its first European football title since 1968: European champions, but this is the world’s leading country tonight.
