Towards the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria, Christians have been urged to be part of the process to elect people of proven integrity to govern the nation.

The State Coordinator of Big-Tent, Akwa Ibom State, Comrade King Akpabio, made the call in an Advocacy Meeting with some church leaders in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, towards the February Presidential Election in Nigeria, where the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party is expected to be elected.

Comrade Akpabio decried the situation where Christians tend to stay off political activities allowing some section of the society to decide who rules Nigeria.

The Akwa Ibom State Big-Tent Coordinator stated that he was canvassing the support of the church to ensure Peter Obi is elected in the forthcoming presidential elections and noted that the population of Christians in the country has enough votes to decide what they want.

He said Nigeria cannot be in the hands of Muslims who want an Islamic State, and that any attempt for Christians to stay off the election will spell doom for Nigerians while noting Nigeria needs a man like Peter Obi who will revive the Nation.

The leader of the Big Tent in the State said it is only Peter Obi that will be able to stop the leakages in the nation’s economy adding that the healing of the nation should start from the head.
