The Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the Big-Tent Movement, a platform and Mega Coalition of all active Support Groups of the Labour Party, Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress, Human Rights Organizations/Civil Society Groups, and all critical stakeholders in the Obi-Datti vanguard in the State have been inaugurated with Comrade King Akpabio as the State Coordinator.

Other officers of the group include Barr Innih Archibong as the Assistant State Coordinator, Dr Citizen Ekpo as the Spokesperson, Comrade Ifot Ifot will serve as the Assistant Spokesperson and Da David Ekanem as the State Secretary.

Other executive members are Arc Barney Thompson as Assistant State Secretary, Mrs Mfon Nze is the Women Leader, Comrade Bernard Titus will serve as the Youth Leader, Comrade Nelson Akpan as the Organizing Secretary, Comrade Blessing Akpan as the Assistant Organizing Secretary, Surv Akan Umo-Otong will serve as the Polling Units Coordinator.

Mr Victor Edohoukwa is the Assistant Polling Units Coordinator; Pastor Edet Ikotidem will serve as the Director, Media Relations and Strategy while Comrade Elizabeth Essien is the Assistant Director, Media Relations and Strategy.

Speaking at the inaugural meeting of all leaders of the various support groups, the State Coordinator of the Big-Tent Movement, Comrade King Akpabio said the Big-Tent is an umbrella of all other support groups seeking to work for the electoral success of the Obi-Datti Presidential Bid.

He noted that working in harmony, synergy and collaboration help win the upcoming 2023 Presidential and all other elections on the platform of the Labour Party.

He sued for peace among members of support groups to enable them to achieve the desired goal.

A foremost industrialist, elder Statesman and the Leader of the PCC in Akwa Ibom State, Capt. Augustine Okon, sued for the need to forget the past, tolerate each other and brace up for the future in order to strengthen the Labour Party, and take the campaigns to all the nooks and crannies of Akwa Ibom State towards the 2023 elections.

While advising that the party is supreme, he called on everyone to have patience with each other to be able to form a formidable front for the task ahead.

Captain Okon believes that with The Big-Tent Movement, the coordination of all supporting groups will be made easy.

Speaking at the event, Comrade Essien Essien, the NLC and TUC Political Commission Desk Officer; Barr Innih Archibong, the Assistant State Coordinator, and Comrade Bernard Titus, among others assured that, with all hands on deck; leaving no stone unturned, and ultimately with God Almighty, victory is sure at all levels for the Labour Party in the 2023 elections.
