The Akwa Ibom State Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo has been inducted into the Lions Clubs International , Uyo Centennial
Mr. Ekpo was decorated with the Lions Jacket, Lions Pin and District Governor’s Medal of Honour Award in his office in Uyoby..
The Deputy Governor had been a founding member of the Calabar Lions Club.
In his remarks, Mr. Ekpo appreciated members of the club for the honor done him, describing the honour as spectacular and historic.
He thanked God for selecting members of the club to meet the needs of the people and expressed the hope that Lions in Nigeria will continue in its contributions to make Nigeria a better place.
He said he will continue to do everything within his reach to keep to the prayers of Lions Clubs hoping that the clubs in Uyo will use members contributions and knowledge to leave indelible marks in the sands of time.

The District Cabinet Secretary District 404-A2, Lion Imaobong Udo the Association said they was in the deputy Governor’s office to celebrate the good thoughts and advice of the deputy governor to the club.
Lion Udo expressed assurances that members of the Lions Clubs in Uyo. with him would become better people in the state.
She intimated the deputy governor on the projects by the Club to include feeding the poor, hospital visitations, screening of diabetic patients and the aged at the Akpan Andem market.
Lion Udo also told the deputy governor that the club plans to donate a minimum of 20 courts of bed for babies in honour of the deputy governor.
The immediate Past District Governor, District 404-A2 Nigeria, Lion Nsikan Bassey performed the decoration on behalf of the District Governor District 404-A2, Lion Soni Eloma.
