In the first round of the CAF Champions League, Enyimba of Nigeria will play Al-Ahly Benghazi of Egypt, while Remo Stars will take on Medeama Sporting Club of Ghana.
At the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, on Tuesday, the preliminary round of the competition’s 2023–24 edition was drawn.
The first leg of the match will be played in Libya between August 18 and 20, and the return match will be held in the Nigerian city of Aba, Abia State, a week later.

With a victory, either club will advance to the next round, where they will play either Coton Sport of Cameroon or ASEC Mimosa of Cote d’Ivoire.

Remo Stars, the other participating Nigerian team, will travel to Ghana for the first leg and then host the second leg in Ikenne.
If the competition’s newcomers Remo Stars win the game, they will advance to the next round and play Horoya FC of Guinea.
Draws for the CAF Confederation Cup’s preliminary round were held far away from the CAF Champions League.

If Bendel Insurance defeats their matchup with the Algerian team ASO Chlef, they will play RS Berkane in the tournament’s second round.
Additionally, draws for the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup were made.

Rivers United, another Nigerian team competing, will not learn about their opponents until the second round.
The winner of the match between Ziguinchor and Etoile Filante will play them.
