Concessions to the APC conferences at Cross River have been agreed by the state governor Bén Ayade as the first steps for the arrival of the emerging party leaders from the forthcoming congresses with the State’s All progressive congress stakeholders.
The Party Congresses are planned to begin on July 24th at the Ward levels. However, Governor Ayade’s meeting on Wednesday night in Peregrino Hall of the State Government House agreed that the party leaders should retreat into their political wards and hold a mock ward Congress exercises this weekend to build a consensus and know where concessions can be made
The meetings of stakeholders included Mathew Mbu Jnr., President of the APC Caretaker Committee, and many other major party players in the state. In the publication of the Governor’s publicity Secretary in the party’s Caretaker Committee, Mr. Bassey Ita, satisfied with the Governor’s second meeting results since he was removed from the APC on 20 May.
