Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has reacted to his side’s 4-0 English Premier League EPL win over Bournemouth at Etihad on Saturday.
Guardiola also singled out playmaker Kevin de Bruyne for particular praise after Man City beat Bournemouth.
Goals from IIkay Gundogan, Kevin de Bruyne, Phil Foden and Jefferson Lerma (own goal) gave the Premier League champions all three points against the visitors.
“We put in a very good performance as a team,” Guardiola said in his post-match press conference.
“Bournemouth were incredibly well structured defensively, but not just defensively but also offensively. “They lure you in with the short passes and then change the game. Quite a similar move to what Tottenham are trying.

“Defensively they defend so deep and tight that you have to get out.
“We started very well, with three or four corners, and we had chances.
“After scoring a goal or two they didn’t want to attack and we had to be patient. “It is not easy for many reasons. We made a great performance again. ”
“I think since last season, before he was only involved in assists, Kevin now likes to win games and score goals,” added Guardiola.
“The pleasure of scoring is great. It is important that he scored a goal.
When I was in Munich, he was at Wolfsburg and I think he was the best player in the Bundesliga. “He was a very good player before we arrived and he will be good after us.
“The goal was good. There was no space with that kind of shot and it was an amazing goal.
“It was an incredible performance, the role model for Phil came from him.
“It’s tough against Bournemouth because they defend the box and hold their line very well.”
