Fathers of FAITH urged to pray for speedy end to coronavirus

Fathers of Faith and other Leaders have been urged to pray for a speedy end to the coronavirus  as it has defied human sciences.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Petroleum Matters, Sir Victor Etefia, made the call when he received, in audience, The Methodist Bishop of Adadia Diocese, Right Reverend Ekereobong Moses, Synod’s Secretary, Very Reverend Elijah Ekarika, Lay President, Sir Ime Inyang and other Fathers of FAITH from Adadia Diocese.

Sir Etefia congratulated Bishop Moses on his election and subsequent consecration as a Bishop and posting to Adadia Diocese promising Adadia people of proper Administrative and Spiritual leadership by the clergy.

Sir Etefia intimated them of the various challenges the Government was passing through in meeting Governmental responsibilities due to the Covid 19 Pandemic.

Sir Etefia therefore called on the church to continue to pray for Governor Udom Emmanuel and the state for the implementation of the completion agenda which he believed would be the best in history of the state considering the outlay of the agenda in the areas of the Deep seaport, massive Road construction which contractors have been massively mobilized to sites.

Speaking earlier, the Methodist Bishop of Adadia, Right Reverend Ekereobong Moses, said their visit was in recognition of Sir Etefia’s position as Chairman, Council of Knights of The Methodist Archdiocese of Uyo, comprising of Uyo, Ikono, Adadia and Eket and his position as Senior Special Assistant on Petroleum Matters to the Governor.

Bishop Ekereobong commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for bringing total peace to Akwa Ibom State.

He highlighted the challenges facing the church in Adadia to include Unemployment, insecurity and finances to aid the Missionary work and appealed to the Senior Special Assistant for support.

Bishop Moses used the occasion to present the official invitation to his enthronement coming up on January 31, 2021.

Present during the visit were one time member of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Sir Asuquo Dabby Udo, Dame Nkoyo Essien, The Reverend Mfon Duke and Sir Edem Nta.
