PDP flags off campaigns

 The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has drummed support for the Peoples Democratic Party in next year’s general election as PDP promises special attention to rural development in the next administration if their candidates come out successful.

 Governor Emmanuel stated this during the official flag-off of campaigns in Uyo Senatorial District held at unity park, Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo.

 Addressing the rally, governor Emmanuel described the PDP Candidate, Pastor Umo Eno as a man of integrity, reliability, and with the capacity to serve, stressing that if voted massively to succeed as Governor, Pastor Eno would build on the existing legacy of this administration and leverage on his experience as a businessman to make Akwa Ibom an economic hub in the country.

 Accompanied by his wife and first lady, Dr. Martha Udom Emmanuel, the governor thanked the people of Uyo Senatorial District for the support given him from the inception of his administration and solicited similar support to the PDP governorship flag bearer and other candidates for more sectoral development in the state.

 The PDP Governorship Flag bearer, Pastor Umo Eno in his remarks, thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for his exemplary leadership style in the state, promising to build on the legacies of the Udom Emmanuel-led government if given the mandate.

The governorship hopeful while canvassing for support and votes ahead of the election, said he would strive to revive the Science park project with the intent to achieve the full value chain of the project among other things if he becomes governor.

 At the event, some PDP members including a former state lawmaker, Mr. Idongesit Ituen who had left for another party, returned to the PDP fold and were received by the state PDP Chairman, Elder Aniekan Akpan on behalf of the Governor and leader of the party in the state.

The high point of the PDP Campaign flag-off in Uyo was the presentation of flags to candidates for the house of representatives, senate, and state House of Assembly. Covenant Family Day
