Governor Udom Emmanuel is to unveil and inaugurate the National Executive Committee of Maintain Peace Movement on Friday, November 19.

The inauguration will be performed at the Nest of Champions by Noon.

Chairman, Maintain Peace Movement, in Akwa Ibom State, Barrister Emmanuel Enoidem, stated this at a press conference in Uyo tagged: COME, LET’S GUARD THIS PEACE TOGETHER.

The Barrister recalled that on the 28th of July, Governor Emmanuel and Grand Patron of the Maintain Peace Movement deliberated on the gains of peace enjoyed in the state via his administration.

This, according to him, was intended to make the legacy of peace in the State enduring and sustainable by ingraining it in the minds and hearts of our people.

Barrister Enoidem emphasized that the message which this Movement has taken to all the nooks and crannies of the State has been that Peace has been the firm foundation and the anchor which Governor Emmanuel has built the strong pillars of development across all sectors of our state economy.

He pointed out that the movement has opened the door for the flourishing of the Ibom Air project which has become a watershed in Nigeria’s aviation sector added to the numerous industries that have created a viable means of direct and indirect employment for several  Akwa Ibom State indigenes which according to him would not have been sited anywhere in the state if the one who superintends over the affairs of state did not send a clear message early enough that he is a man of peace.

To this end, he appealed to Stakeholders and residents of the State to be an advocate of peace and to lend their hands to the patriotic task of sustaining this cherished ideal of peace.

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong who also spoke urged for greater partnership with Journalists in the State to achieve set goals.
