The Nigerian government has moved quickly to douse the strain made by its arranged foundation of Integrated Farm Estates in every one of the 109 Senatorial Districts the nation over by the National Land Development Authority (NALDA), pronouncing that “it isn’t to execute Rural Grazing Areas (RUGA) and farms.”

The explanation by the government was a continuation of the new caution raised by the Pan-Yoruba socio-political association, Afenifere, asserting that the central government was endeavoring to bring back the dismissed cows province and RUGA through the foundation of the homestead domains.

Afenifere, in an assertion by its representative, Jare Ajayi, required a prompt stop to the program.

Some others dismissed the arrangement, guaranteeing that the move was a roundabout endeavor to gain land for a segment of the country.

Responding to the claim in a talk with newsmen in Abuja, the Executive Secretary of NALDA, Paul Ikonne, accentuated that the foundation of the homestead domains steered clear of RUGA or farms.

As per the NALDA chief, “the homestead homes are not at all identified with both RUGA and dairy cattle farms,” adding Afenifere’s position “is pointed toward misdirecting individuals.”

He said: “The Integrated Farm Estates are what the President commanded us to set up in every one of the 109 Senatorial Districts in the wake of dispatching that of Daura; which means he saw the useful nature and the effect that undertaking will make.

“The task is intended for the local area, to foster the local area. What we have inside is poultry, fishery and for the individuals who are doing piggery – piggery. In this way, it is for individuals.
