It is well known that the Governor wears a Pastor’s Collar. It is also known as the “red band” or a red ribbon, after the red thread which marks the opening of the Bible.
The pastor’s cufflinks are symbolic of being a leader.
It is useful to recall the purpose of wearing a Pastor’s Collar and its significance. Wearing Pastor’s Collar together with taking an Oath of Office as governor is important in order to show that the wearer has been duly elected by God and the people for this high office.
Pastor’s collar is an important tradition that helps to express respect and appreciation for the office of the governor. It symbolizes the belief in having the support of God.
The wearing of a pastor’s collar also shows that a person has credentials from a religious organization to govern his people. Moreover, wearing this kind of collar is believed to have positive effects on any person who wears them.

It’s believed that wearing this symbol will help bring glory to God and make it easier for others to recognize you as someone who has been entrusted with an important task or duty.

The custom of wearing pastors’ collars began centuries ago when the clergy was given special privileges by kings or rulers during times when they were needed most: Rev1:6 ‘ And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

With the pastor’s collar, Umo Eno will be able to see and govern Akwa Ibom through the eyes of God, and in as much as he has not denounced the toga ‘Pastor’ so will he be called.
This means that he needs to have a keen understanding of human nature and how it works, as well as a deep appreciation for what makes people great.
He will also be able to see beyond himself, which means being able to appreciate those around him even when they don’t do anything special or deserve it.
Being a symbol of authority as a pastor will most see the people as individuals, not just numbers on a spreadsheet or people in his community who don’t make enough money so they can afford health insurance but most understand that there are many different types of people in this Akwa Ibom who may not always agree with each other but still love one another just because they’re human beings!

With the collar used during his swearing-in, pastor Eno has to be able to apply spiritual truths in a practical way as well as understand how the people of the state operate.
He will know what needs to be done at any given point in time and how to reach out and touch people with the love of Jesus Christ,
People must be inspired in ways that they would not have been able to do otherwise. This can be done by showing people how their actions affect others.
Pst Umo Eno must be able to show love and compassion to those who come under his authority and be able to work with others so that they can share in the responsibilities of this office.
A pastor needs solid knowledge, wisdom, and guidance from others who have been there before him/her. He should be able to give clear and concise answers to questions that come up in the state, answer questions about the people of the state
As a shepherd, pastor Eno must have to be able to make sure that his flock is nourished and cared for.
He needs to inspire people with spiritual truths, but also be able to apply them in practical ways so that they can grow closer to him
As a Pastor and a governor, the job is a rewarding one. It comes with privileges and responsibilities. As a Pastor and a governor, Umo Eno has to know what he is doing and be able to help others do the same.
