Umo Eno Passionate About His Vision For Akwa Ibom State

Must read

Pastor Umo Eno’s Campaign Team paid a consultative visit to the Nigerian Union of Journalists’ NUJ at the Press Centre, where he spoke eloquently and passionately about his vision for Akwa Ibom State if he is elected governor.

Pastor Eno always gave a good account of himself as a visionary and passionate leader.

Furthermore, one should not judge a book by its cover.

The content of a book should be used to evaluate it.

Most of us erroneously judged Umo Eno based on what we heard and read about him from other people’s perspectives.

Which we are now employing against him.

In many ways, these views must have been tainted by reservations and ignorance.

We had been led to believe that he had been raised with a silver spoon, but we learned from him that he was a barracks boy.

His father was a police officer, which exposed him to other tribes in Nigeria and allowed him to mix with and understand them.

This humble upbringing in a multi-ethnic community provided him with relationship skills that were free of animosity and prejudice toward any tribe.

As he stated, he has no idea who is an Oron man, or one from Ibiono Ibom, Eket, or Uyo; to him, they are all Akwa Ibom sons and daughters.

As a result, a barracks boy understands what it means to be poor and is endowed with street wisdom.

These are qualities that you do not learn in school.

Obviously, this will aid him in developing policies and programs aimed at alleviating the plights of the poor in society.

For example, at the consultative meeting, he shared a phenomenal vision for agriculture.

Agriculture will be designed to employ young people. Pastor Umo Eno couldn’t understand why we needed a cassava plantation without a garri and other flour processing factories.

A factory should be attached to any crop that can be processed.

He observed that our fishermen are not reaping the full benefits of their labor because the boats they use are provided by our Igbo brothers.

Umo Eno promised to change this narrative by providing our fishermen with boats, trollies, and other fishing equipment.

He claimed that the entire agricultural value chain could be used for the benefit of the people and the state.

And he will do so in a more sustainable manner.

He intends to use incentives to entice foreign direct investment.

However, if the investor does not act within the time frame specified, the agreement will be terminated.

He frowned at the way investors are currently leaving the State’s industrial park fallow.

According to the Hill Top Mansion aspirant, he started Royalty Hotel with only five rooms and built it up to what it is today.

At one point, the company employed up to a thousand people.

A man who can build a company from the ground up to the enviable position it is today must be focused, dogged, shrewd, hardworking, and an excellent resource manager.

Imagine that person as the governor of this state; he will not be throwing money at the plaza or engaging in frivolous activities.

He will instead create long-term wealth for all of us.

And, based on his remarks about the abandoned science park, Akwa Ibom State is on the road to greatness, peace, and prosperity.

Pastor Eno concluded by stating categorically that he has no beef with any of the candidates…” and as governor, I will work for the good of all.”
