Chieftains, members and stakeholders of Peoples Democratic Party-PDP in Akwa Ibom State two days ago rose from a meeting with the decision not to allow the state be in opposition following the presidential election which saw Bola Tinubu emerging the winner.

They reasoned that, if Akwa Ibom people allow PDP to superintend over the affairs of Akwa Ibom from May 29, 2023 it will be doomed

Speaking after the meeting held in a high-class hotel in Uyo, the spokesman for the concerned members, Chief Ifreke Ofon said the Ibom deep sea project will not see the light of the day and other federal projects,  the representation of our senators in the National Assembly will not be much felt as the powers that be in the National Assembly may block them from holding any juicy position if All Progressive Party does not win in Akwa Ibom.

He said supporting Akan Udofia to win the Match 11 governorship will bring enormous benefits to the state.’

We Cannot be in Opposition

While thanking the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District for unanimously electing Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio to represent them and the state at the senate, the stakeholders warned PDP members in the Akwa Ibom, that, all that glitters is not gold.

Chief Ofon hinted journalists that those who attended the meeting were drawn from all the wards in the 31 local government areas of the state.

He went further to say that with APC and Akan Udofia as the governor of Akwa Ibom state, the resources of the state will be intact and that many more projects will be initiated and completed.

The PDP chieftains wondered why the 13-month salary for civil servants, bursary for students, and employment did not continue in the state despite the huge amount of money that has been coming into the Akwa Ibom.

Playing opposition, they said will crumble the economy of the state and warned those who are selling their birth right by receiving a meager of amount of money from people to sell their votes and put a wrong candidate on the saddle.

The stakeholders see Akan Udofia as  a vocal opponent of corruption in the nation because he thinks it endangers both the democracy and the economy of Nigeria
and  views leadership as encouraging others to put forth their best effort through collaboration.

According to them, Akan Udofia wants to be a good leader who inspires his team members to work together by assigning tasks, setting an example, and showing them that he cares.
They said Akan has the  capacity for inspiring others, his commitment to upholding his personal integrity, and his courage in performing his duties set him apart from other candidates for governor of Akwa Ibom.
It is their opinion that Obong Udofia  values teamwork and putting the greater good ahead of the interests of any one person.

They appealed to all and sundry to support Akan Udofia and the APC to succeed in Akwa Ibom
