We are on Course! “Wheels of justice grind slow but grind fine.” ~ Sun Tzu The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja Coram: Nwite, E., J today granted leave to Senator Ita Enang to be joined as a co-defendant in Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/1290/2022. The Suit was filed on August 1, 2022. The Suit was initiated by Obong Akanimo Udofia and APC seeking to compel INEC to publish his name as the Governorship Candidate of the Party in Akwa Ibom State having been duly nominated at the Primaries conducted by the National Working Committee (NWC) of APC on May 26, 2022.

Despite well-grounded reservations on the plausibility of the Ruling in Law, we have implicit confidence in the ability of the Judiciary to reinvent itself through institutionally guaranteed rungs and safeguards. We are confident that our reliefs before the Court will survive these contrived interruptions and the rule of law will be upheld in due course. We are encouraged by the prayers, enthusiasm, and commitment of the generality of Akwa Ibom people to the “shared prosperity” project championed by our torchbearer – Obong Akanimo Udofia. We sincerely thank our members for keeping the faith in the face of these mild tremors. These are inevitable as we take steady steps towards rescuing and recreating the Akwa Ibom of our dreams. Rest assured, weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

Barr. Imo E. Akpan,

Akan Udofia Campaign Council
