I have been pondering over this piece of paper for over an hour, thinking of the numerous things this man, Godswill Obot Akpabio has achieved and done for humanity, he was and still is so much to many people including civil servants, scholars, students, youths, the aged and women, the religious organizations and several groups and organizations too numerous to mention, yet, I could not fabricate the right nomenclature to describe this iconic gentleman in his relevance appropriately.
That God has deemed him fit to bestow him on Akwa Ibom state. Had he been seared by another, I would have been forever envious, not because he is everything a man, a politician. Philanthropist, uncommon achiever, a colossus, a generous man but simply because he is who he is, Distinguished Senator, Hon. Obong, Chief Godswill Obot Akpabio, CON

An enigmatic individual, hospitable in his oriented service delivery and charismatic disposition.
He is a man very humble in his sophistication and down to earth. He is a true definition of Leadership. Pride to be owned as a brother, father, friend, and leader, but indeed not an enemy.
A man consumed with the aura of political victories. The Senator, Godswill Obot Akpabio representing Ikot Ekpene North West Senatorial District polled 63 votes to win his only challenger Sen, Abdulaziz Yari, former governor of Zamfara State managed 46 votes interestingly Sen. Godswill Obot Akpabio, CON. a former colleague nominated him for Senate Presidency while Sen. Adeola Olamileksn seconded the motion. his Deputy is Sen. Barau Jibrin.

How else would you want to describe a man that does not fit in the typical mold of a man, perhaps, he is a god. Intriguing and sarcastic on his usual self the new Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Akpabio is set to do what only he knows how to do best. I am overly excited to realize that the same Gods-will will be done in our country.

In 2006, Akpabio contested for the governorship of Akwa Ibom State in the PDP primary elections. He defeated 57 other aspirants in the primaries to be elected as their party candidate. Allowing God’s Will to be done, according to his campaign slogan “LET GODS WILL BE DONE” He received a whale of support and consequently was elected a governor in 2007.
He was to be reelected for a second term as state governor in 2011 and in 2013; he was elected Chairman of the newly formed governor’s forum of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
In 2015, he contested and won the Senate seat at the Akwa Ibom North West of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District to represent the area in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria contesting under the platform of PDP, polling 422,009 to defeat Chief Inibehe Okorie of the APC
He was nominated Minority Leader by the South-South caucus of the PDP in the Senate
His victory is a testimonial of distinctive service delivery but not as the choice of the President. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu which in itself is a divine will of God to deliver Nigeria from the shackles of political slavery
The duo of Ahmed Bola Tinubu and. Sen. Godswill Obot Akpabio CON firing at both cylinders are manifestations of the various outcry of the populace calling for a better Nigeria. It’s like the old and new blending to give us a befitting glory- a better Nigeria.
As it is, Nigeria is set for a spinning change in all ramifications a Kaleidoscopic and refreshing government, never have we seen before insecurity, poverty, fiscal turnaround, and social equilibrium. The effect of this government in itself will disallow corruption from taking a vie from China, I believe this government’s policy will augur well for the overall development and ignite the power sector, Agriculture and so help us God.
