Ntenyin Solomon Etuk, President General of the Akwa Ibom Traditional Rulers Council and Oku Ibom Ibibio, has congratulated Pastor Umo Eno on earning his certificate of return as the Peoples Democratic Party’s Akwa Ibom Governorship flag bearer (PDP).
When Pastor Umo Eno paid him a visit shortly after his return from Abuja, the renowned monarch expressed his gratitude.
The Oku Ibom Ibibio praised the governorship candidate for treating him and his council of chiefs with respect, saying that this was evidence of good upbringing.
Pastor Eno is blessed and favoured, according to the royal father, who also stated that it was his assigned time and that others should wait and pray for their turn.
In the interest of the state’s unity and peace, he counseled the PDP governorship candidate to forgive and accept those screaming tantrums over his election, and to open his arms of love to other aspirants who lost out in the campaign.
The monarch, who expressed his gratitude to God for Pastor Umo Eno’s victory in the primaries, said:
He also counseled him not to hold grudges against people who are waging a media campaign of defamation against him, but to see their actions as part of the problems of politics and the price a leader must pay.

The clearly delighted monarch thanked God for what He had done for the people of Akwa Ibom through Pastor Umo Eno’s nomination, saying: “What we’re experiencing right now isn’t a fluke. Men are free to do anything they want, but it is God’s will.”
Earlier while presenting the certificate of return to the Oku Ibom Ibibio, Pastor Umo Eno said the visit to the palace was a mark of respect for the traditional institution and the Oku Ibom Ibibio in particular.
He recalled that he consulted the royal fathers first before going out for the race, adding, “now that I have been given the certificate, I had to come back to show you that I am now a certified governorship candidate”
Pastor Eno commended the traditional institution for their support and prayers, and appealed for more especially as the general elections beckon.
