The Peoples Democratic Party Standard flag bearer for Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency, Dr. Glory Edet has assured the emerging tiger in support mobilization and reconciliation, AKS Unit2 Unit frontiers that she will be a voice in the house of representatives, describing them as her ambassadors.
Dr Edet gave the assurance when she played host to the group yesterday at her residence in Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo.
The PDP Standard flag bearer for Ikono/Ini federal Constituency Seat thanked God for the opportunity to meet the group.
She appreciated the group for the work so far and highlighted that she has trusted in the group.
Dr. Edet said that the election for the Federal Constituency belongs to Ini LGA, stressing that if it isn’t, she would not have come out to contest.
” As you are going around to tell people about PDP, tell them that primaries had been concluded. You are my ambassadors. I so much appreciate this group because you are in the village, working from unit to unit.” -She maintained
According to her, “there’s no previous office she occupied in any ministry that she has not made a mark on.”
The former member of AKS Exco also noted that she is keen to eradicate fetish oath in Ikono/ Ini politics.
” We should sensitize people that politics is not attached to fetish Oath. I am solidly behind this group. God will bless you.” She said.
Also speaking, The State Organizing Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Barr Moses Akpan affirmed that he witnessed the birth of the group.
Hear him, “Don’t bother yourself about known names, go after these ones who have been willing to work for the party to succeed. Those who had missed their steps and attempted to go astray have always denied such mistakes before Unit to Unit frontiers.”

Chief Akpan posited that the problem of the group can be handled by Dr. Glory Edet.
He expressed his happiness for the members of the group who have been very committed to the course by working voluntarily, urging them to challenge whatever other groups are doing.
The Chapter Chairman of PDP in Ini Local Government Area Mr. Emmanuel Umah thanked the group for working from Unit to unit.
” You cannot boost to deliver your ward and local Government as one person, but you can boost to deliver your Unit. This group has done an excellent job.” He said
The man in charge of Contact and Mobilization in the AKS Unit2Unit frontiers, Pastor Lee Ukpabio who opened the floor, informed the Standard flag bearer for Ikono Ini Federal Constituency and her Campaign team that the group was formed to internalize and bring together People who have had grievances in PDP to come back to the party.
Lee said that the structure of the body is Unit based and explained that the scope of the group was spanned to be statewide.
He said that the group is made up of over 800 people across Ikono while highlighting plans are on top gear to establish the group in Ini Local Government Area.
According to Lee Ukpabio, “the group has met with diverse people who had been aggrieved and ensured that there’s the instigation of reconciliation.”
” There’s no ward nor unit in Ikono that cannot give testimony of this group. We thanked the state Organizing Secretary of the party, Chief Barr Moses Akpan, the Champion of Ikono Politics and MPM coordinator in Ikono, Hon Victor Etefia, The party standard flag bearer for Ikono State Constituency Seat, Hon Itoro Columba, Ikono Council Chairman, Hon Nyakno Okoibu, Chapter Chairman of the party, Barr Ekemini Uba and others Stakeholders for adopting them and ensuring that they work tirelessly for the success of the party in 2023″
Adding, the Organizing Secretary of the group Mr. Nsikakabasi Archibong who represented the State coordinator of the group Sir Rustom Alexander appreciated all the Stakeholders in Ikono who accepted the idea and saw that the group has a lofty vision to catch up.
He promised that Aks Unit2Unit frontiers will mobilize all its arsenals to ensure that the party coast to victory in 2023.
The meeting had in attendance, all members of the Steering Committee in PDP unit2Unit frontiers, Ward Coordinators and Secretaries from all the eleven wards in Ikono as well as all Members of God’s Glory Campaign Organization.
