Property owners on Eket/Etinan Road who have received compensations from government have been advised to vacate the buildings for work to progress on the road construction project for timely completion.
Governor Udom Emmanuel gave the advice in Eket, yesterday when he attended a funeral service in honour of the late Reverend Benjamin James Bassey, father of his Special Representative in Akwa Ibom State Liaison Office, Lagos, Elder Samuel Bassey.

The Governor speaking at the ceremony held at government primary school, Afaha Atai, Eket LGA said he was in a hurry to complete all ongoing projects before leaving office in May next year.
He blamed the slow pace of work on the refusal by property owners to vacate even after receiving compensations
