Threat To Life: Judge Petitions OC Anti-Robbery, CSP Julian in A’Ibom State

A Judge of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, Hon. Justice I. J. Essien has filed a petition against the unprofessional conduct of the OC Anti-Robbery for Threat to life.

In a petition titled, Petition against Mr.Ekene Nwosu OC Anti-Robery for Threat to my Life, reads ” Recall that on 30/9/2023 at about 11 am when I was held hostage by men suspected to be cultist brought to former Jopen Gas Station by Mr. Boniface Edem and the Woman who claims to be director of JOPEN. I was beaten, assaulted and locked up at the station house by these suspected cultists”.

The serving Judicial Officer of a Federal Court brought to the awareness of CP Olatoye Durosinmi that

his life has been threatened by Mr. Ekene Nwosu twice under his supervision and called on the CP to conduct a proper investigation into the matter as he will be left with no other alternative than to drag the police to court.

In a related development under a petition signed by Isaac Ubokutom for MD Grandberg Enterprise against the SWAT Team Commander CSP Julian and his men for Sacking GRANDBERG Enterprise from its Gas Station, abduction of one Mr. Victor on Tuesday 26th September, 2023 a customer of GRANDBERG Enterprise to an unknown destination by one Udeme Esset.

Threat To Life

According to Isaac Ubokutom, ” It is a very shameful act to witnessed the police accompanied hoodlums in buses to move round and cause commotion, it happened in our gas station, the police first stepped into the station arrested our customers and staff after which hudlums hired by Udeme Esset and Co  joined them to destroy our property, stole cash that was kept, some of those items they carried from our station are still at the police station,”he said.

The petition also spotted a high level of compromise by the Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. CP Olatoye Durosinmi

who earlier enforced the order of the FHC and hereby return to authorized such contemptuous action of Policemen attached to SWAT Team under his watch who later sacked Grandberg Enterprise the original buyer of Stratas and Jopen Gas Station, stealing the money that was kept at the station and other belongings of Grandberg painting  back the station with Stratas color under the supervision of the police.

Following allegations of unprofessionalism, kidnapping, name-dropping, extortion and illicit enrichment against some officers in Akwa Ibom State on the issue of two gas stations, fielding question from Justice Isaac Essien and the management of Grandberg Enterprise, the duo said they have no confidence in CP Olatoye Durosinmi led Akwa Ibom State Command and called for his immediate redeployment from the state.

On his part, the Commissioner, CP Olatoye Durosinmi through a telephone conversation with this reporter said investigation on the allegations against the SWAT Team leader which he referred the petition to the appropriate department is ongoing.

According to him, “I don’t like the fact that my name is drag to the mud on this issues, I earlier advised Mr. Udeme Esset and co that since they had earlier on surrendered the property ( Gas Station) to the bank while collecting loan he should either seek redress in the court, if he is not happy that his property was sold out,  I am not a Judge my duty is to maintain laws and order
