As Akwa Ibom State continues on its journey to greatness, the recent visit of Seplat Energy’s Board and Management to Governor Umo Eno has sparked renewed hope for a better future.

The visit, which was a courtesy call to inform the Governor of Seplat Energy’s acquisition of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPNU), marked the beginning of a new era of partnership between the state government and the energy company.
During the visit, Governor Umo Eno reiterated his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive. He assured Seplat Energy of the state’s support and pledged to provide the necessary infrastructure to facilitate their operations. However, the Governor also made several demands that would benefit the youths and the state.
Governor Eno urged Seplat Energy to prioritize the employment of Akwa Ibomites, utilizing the state’s employment portal to hire able hands. He also encouraged the company to provide training and development programs for youths in the state, as well as implement empowerment programs that would promote economic growth and development.
