The Governor was speaking at God’s House of Refuge, Ikot Ebido Street, Uyo where he shared fellowship with worshippers in the church.

The governor noted with dismay, the intrigues circulating in the society as regards who takes over the helms of leadership after him, stressing that no amount of hassle will hinder the purpose of God from manifesting in Akwa Ibom.

Governor Emmanuel said it was God’s command for the church to pray for those in authority and urged Christians to continue to stand in the gap for leaders to surmount the hurdles associated with leadership, rather than run them down.

He thanked the church for their prayers so far, and assured of his resolve to keep serving the state to the best of his ability, selflessly and with sincerity.
