A-five day capacity building training on Sustainable Development, Planning and Management has been organized for indigenes of Mbo Local Government area by Oriental Energy Resources Limited,
The training facilitated by Kunnysons Konsult Limited, held at Watbridge Hotels and Suites, IBB Avenue, Uyo attracted stakeholders from Effiat and Mbo, where the oil exploration Company operates.
Declaring the event open, Commissioner for Power and Petroleum Development, Dr. John James Etim expressed optimism that the training will help expand the frontiers of the company and empower the host community.
Addressing the participants, the managing director, Oriental Resources Limited, Engineer Ignatius Ifelayo said the training was a demonstration of the company’s commitment to contribute to the sustainable development in its area of specialization.
Represented by the Head of community and government platform, Dr. Uwem Iteh, the managing director explained that the seminar was sequel to the success of the 2019 edition on sustainable business development and management of Mbo youth empowerment center project.
The Senior Special Adviser to the governor on Donors and Multilateral Agencies, Mr. Ndiana-abasi Nana Udom assured that governor Emmanuel would continue to create veritable platform and peaceful environment for public-private investors.
Mr. Udom charged oriental Energy Resources limited to intensify efforts on publicity of its activities, urging participants to maximize the opportunity offered by the workshop for effective service delivery.
The chairman of Mbo local government Council, Mr. Asuquo Eyo and the governor’s aide on SMEs, Chief Janet Amba who graced the event, commended the energy firm carrying out the training.
