Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has appealed to Nigerians to channel the same love, unity, and support shown to him during the passing of his wife, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, into bolstering the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the continued progress, peace, and unity of the nation.
Speaking during the funeral service for his late wife, held at their family home in Ikot Ekpene Udo, Governor Eno expressed profound gratitude for the solidarity and care extended to his family.
Governor Umo Eno Sues for Love
He acknowledged the efforts of President Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and his wife, the Senate President, leaders from various states, and Nigerians from all walks of life.
The governor remarked that their unity and compassion had provided his family with strength and resilience during their time of grief.
He opined that if such unity were applied to governance, it could lead to the achievement of the nation’s long-desired development goals.
Governor Eno pledged to honor his late wife’s legacy by advancing the developmental strides in Akwa Ibom State. He emphasized that the values she upheld would continue to inspire his administration’s policies and actions. Expressing his gratitude to all who paid tribute and showed support, he reaffirmed his commitment to fostering growth and ensuring a brighter future for the state.
The funeral service featured the unveiling of a book of tributes, “Legacies of a Golden Woman,” written by renowned author Mr. Anietie Usen.
Former Akwa Ibom State Governor Mr. Udom Emmanuel unveiled the book, which celebrates the late Mrs. Eno’s life and contributions.
Her compassion, dedication, and quiet strength were highlighted as qualities that deeply impacted her family and community.
