President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that the 11.9km second Niger Bridge, 120km Lagos Ibadan Expressway, and other key Presidential infrastructure development fund (PIDF) projects will be completed before he leaves office in 2023.
The president made the assurance on Monday at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja, at the start of a two-day Mid Term Ministerial Performance Review Retreat organized to assess progress toward the achievement of the Buhari administration’s nine key priorities.
He used the occasion of the retreat, the third since his second term, to highlight some of the federal government’s notable accomplishments over the last two years.

President Buhari outlined his administration’s accomplishments in infrastructure, transportation, the economy, electricity supply, and the petroleum industry, among other areas.
“The PIDF projects are also moving forward at a rapid pace.
They are the 11.9-kilometer-long Second Niger Bridge, the 120-kilometer-long Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the 375-kilometer-long Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Expressway including the East-West Road.
The majority of these projects are expected to be completed during our administration’s second term,” he said.
