The people were joyful because they believe Obong Akanimo Udofia to be the promised Messiah who would lead them to the Promised Land.
Akan is not coming to steal the wealth of Akwa Ibom State, according to one of them, Chief Etim Okon of the Onna local government area, “I personally know his father and what he stands for, so Akanimo will not be different from his father who is an upright man,” Chief Okon said.
Akan Udofia’s academic records are unblemished, according to others who spoke with starwitness News, and he (Akan) does not tell lies.
There is no doubt that more is needed to be for the state and its citizens.
Obong Akanimo Udofia, the APC candidate for governor of Akwa Ibom State in the March 2023 governorship election, is the person with the capacity and vision to do this.

Akan Udofia is qualified to steer Akwa Ibom State toward a prosperous future by enhancing its infrastructure, boosting border security, and fostering economic growth.
Additionally, he is dedicated to using education to forge connections between various communities so that we can all learn together rather than competing for attention as we do right now!
In order to accomplish this, his government will start a number of initiatives that will strengthen the civil service, give hope to job seekers, and make sure that all debts owed to civil servants, including retirement benefits, are paid on time.
The APC’s Obong Akanimo Udofia’s keen vision has inspired him to take action on a number of significant societal problems. In Akwa-Ibom State’s Afaha Offiong, he provided free surgical and medical care to the locals.
To commemorate his 40th anniversary, he provided a community water project and sponsored eight doctors, twenty nurses, and thirty assistants who treated 400 patients in the state.
He provided funding for a 480,000-liter water development project in Afaha Offiong, Akwa-Ibom State, which was dedicated by the state’s then-governor, Godswill Akpabio.
He established a partnership with the Bridge Leadership Foundation to provide opportunities for industrial training for artisans trained by the Desicon Group. Additionally, he has written about significant humanitarian efforts both inside and outside of Nigeria.
His Government will make sure that any hospitals built by any prior governments that are not functional will be made to run properly and new ones created in each local government in order to achieve the goal of providing high-quality healthcare services throughout Akwa Ibom State. The goal is to have hospitals with cutting-edge equipment that can meet every citizen’s medical requirements.
In addition, it is crucial for each of us to be accountable for our own health as well as the health of those we care about by eating well and exercising frequently, we can be more conscious of what we put into our bodies.
In Akwa Ibom State, agriculture employs the most people and is a key component of the economy. Agriculture in the state has a lot of potentials, and it can be used to grow the economy, create jobs, and increase food security.
Akan Udofia’s Agricultural Productivity Enhancement Project will ensure increased production value of all agro-products produced in Nigeria by raising farmer productivity levels across a variety of crops, including maize fields, rice paddy fields, etc.
He will set up farm mechanization facilities to lessen the amount of manual labor needed by farmers, particularly women who make up the majority of shareholders in this industry and men who work primarily in occupations other than farming, like fishing or selling fish from riverside markets situated close to riverside towns where fish is caught.

The agenda of Akan Udofia for the residents of Akwa Ibom state will include building and maintaining physical infrastructure.

By ensuring the safety of people and their property and by generating job opportunities for Akwa Ibom State residents, physical infrastructure also plays a significant part in promoting economic development.
Between 1990 and 1994, Obong Akan Udofia while serving as a Senior Business Manager at Vision 2000 Ltd. and as a member of the Desicon Group, which manages and offers thorough engineering and installation services to major oil and gas organizations nationwide, he was in charge of business development and strategic planning for the World Bank-funded project Population Activities Fund Agency, or PAFA. Between 1998 and 2002, he organized oil and gas services contracts in Sub-Saharan Africa with a total project portfolio valued at over $900 million. He also formed a consortium partner, STOLT-BOUYGUES Offshore, on the Amenam project.
In his capacity as the GMD of the Desicon Group, he repositioned the business as one of the indigenous Nigerian firms that foreign oil companies frequent in Nigeria’s oil sector. He serves as the president of Vision 2000 Ltd. and the director of SAIPEM Contracting Nigeria Ltd., a massive organization that offers all kinds of services to the oil and gas sector, including on- and offshore drilling, on- and offshore construction activities (pipelines, power plants, manufacturing activities), engineering, and maintenance.
He was then added to Saipem Contracting Nigeria Limited’s board of directors.

The funding for education, which is presently at about N6 billion annually, will increase under Akan Udofia. We are confident that if elected governor, he would collaborate with the Federal Ministry of Education and other interested parties to meet this objective.
A basic need of man is water. To increase the state’s water supply, Akan Udofia has a commendable initiative. Since water is a fundamental human right and without it, neither we nor anyone else could survive or live with dignity, his government will continue to work on this problem.
