Pastor Ubong Attah, the Member representing Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency and the House Committee Chairman on Agriculture and Natural Resources, has lauded Governor Umo Eno for signing the Bulk Purchase Agency Bill into law.
While fielding questions from the press upon his return from an official trip abroad at the Obong Attah International Airport last week, Attah praised Governor Eno’s proactive approach to tackling high food prices and his commitment to aiding the public through intervention programs aimed at easing economic hardships faced by Akwa Ibomites and Nigerians.

He highlighted the importance of the Bulk Purchase Agency, viewing it as a strategic initiative to provide essential food items at reduced prices, demonstrating the government’s dedication to improving citizens’ well-being.
Attah expressed appreciation to stakeholders and called on all to support the governor’s initiative, emphasizing its role in enhancing food security and lowering food expenses in the long term.
Furthermore, he mentioned the government’s intention to establish a buffer warehouse to safeguard the program against potential risks. Contrary to concerns, the initiative seeks to collaborate with traders rather than compete with them.

He urged the Executive to conduct public awareness campaigns before the initiative’s launch to ensure widespread understanding and backing.
The member who recently distributed a generous N9m as business grants to his constituents stated that the gesture aligned with the ARISE Agenda of His Excellency for the empowerment of the youths. He advised the beneficiaries to utilize the empowerment effectively in the agricultural sector.
Emphasizing the significance of a renewed focus on farming, Attah underscored the governor’s proposal to establish an Agricultural Committee to provide support to citizens with seedlings for agricultural purposes.
