Prior to the 12th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations beginning there next week, the Super Falcons arrived in Casablanca on Monday.
Amaju Pinnick, the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), gave the team the mission to win their 10th African championship before they left.
Pinnick stated that the group should have confidence since they have the support of the entire country in their pursuit of greatness.
The NFF President acknowledged that many African nations will be frantically trying to break Nigeria’s hegemony on the continent, but he was quick to point out that the Falcons have the ability to defeat their opponents.
‘You have won this trophy nine times out of 11, and you have to go for the 10th with equal passion and desire, Pinnick said when he hosted the nine-time champions to a special dinner at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. “It is not much for me to tell you about the need to go all out there and conquer; it is something you are used to because you have the spirit, the energy, and the aura of champions,” Pinnick said.
‘There will undoubtedly be teams that think they can remove you from your throne and from your status as champions, you have the ability to overcome any challenge and win again, I have no doubt about that. He continued.

Aisha Falode, a member of the NFF Executive Committee and the chairman of the Nigeria Women’s Football League, Randy Waldrum, his assistant coaches, 25 players, and the Falcons’ coaching staff were among the guests at Pinnick’s dinner.
The Super Falcons will camp in Rabat for seven days before their crucial Group C opening against South Africa’s Banyana Banyana on Monday, July 4, having completed the majority of their preparations in Abuja.
In the group stage, the Falcons will also play Botswana on Thursday, July 7, and Burundi on Sunday, July 10.
Only one loss has ever occurred for the Falcons during the tournament’s group stage.
All four Moroccan semifinalist teams will earn spots to represent Africa at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2019. The fifth-place team will also have a chance to advance through a Playoff Tournament that will take place early in 2019.
