Dr. Martha Emmanuel, the wife of the State Governor, has launched the distribution of prenatal vitamins to pregnant women and the deworming of children in the state.
The Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Path Initiative FEYReP, in collaboration with the Vitamin Angels, organized the flag off by Dr. Martha Emmanuel.
Dr. Martha Emmanuel, who administered the drugs to the women and children, stated that the State Government was concern d about the well-being of its
citizens, as evidenced by the construction, maintenance, and renovation of several health facilities throughout the State.
The Governor’s wife stated that the drugs would be distributed free of charge to health facilities in all Local Government Areas and that the vitamins would aid in the formation of the fetus, while the deworming medicine would aid in the restoration of children’s health.

Mrs. Ime Inyang, the coordinator of FEYReP, stated that FEYReP was concerned and committed to the well-being of pregnant women and their unborn babies, as well as the health of impoverished families.
Dr. Dominic Ukpong, the immediate past Commissioner for Health, gave a lecture on Personal Vitamins for Pregnant Women, and Mary Udo spoke on deworming exercise for Children.
Dr. Patrick Eshiet, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, who accepted the drugs on behalf of Commissioner Dr. Augustine Umoh, thanked the Governor’s wife for facilitating the distribution of the drugs.
He assured that the items would be properly utilized and distributed at no cost to all deserving individuals.
Some beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Governor’s wife for her generosity.
