The manager of the branch of the bank on Abak road Uyo according to the customer “the branch manager refused to block my account when I called him, saying that the he cannot block the account on proxy. This is man that knows me in person”.
Polaris Bank Refuses to Act on Distress Call
The customer went on to explain that if the manager had blocked the account at the time she requested, she may not have lost much money.
She said that the code the manager told her to use did not work because poor network.
According to the complainant, the distance she was and the bank was far noting that she could not have reached the bank on time to block it
It is absolutely outrageous that they have refused to act on the distress call after a Yahoo Boy drained the account of over 480 thousand naira.
The fact that the bank has not taken any action, even after she made a complaint, is completely unacceptable.

As a customer, she deserves to have her concerns addressed promptly and efficiently. It is the responsibility of the bank to take immediate action when a fraudulent incident occurs, ensuring the safety and security of their customers’ funds.
However, Polaris Bank’s negligent and apathetic attitude towards her situation is beyond comprehension.
Given the bank’s lack of response and apparent disregard to the customer’s complaint, it seems that she has no choice but to seek legal action. It is her right to hold Polaris Bank accountable for their inaction and negligence.
The fact that she are willing to go to court demonstrates the seriousness of this matter and your determination to fight for justice. I can only hope that the legal action she take against Polaris Bank will finally force them to acknowledge their responsibilities and compensate you for the financial loss you have suffered.
It is truly disheartening to witness such neglect from a financial institution that is supposed to protect its customers’ interests.
