A case has been made to the Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel as the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in the State to use his good office as a believer in peace, justice, and equity to facilitate the zoning of the House of Assembly seat to Itu/Oma.
This position was canvassed Wednesday at a press briefing by Itu Democratic Coalitions held at Unity Hall, Senator Aneitie Okon’s residence, Mbiatok Itam in Itu Local Government Area.
Mr. Tony Ibanga who read the position of the political leader, Senator Anietie Okon, and members of the coalition went through memory lane to state that Itu/OMA and East Itam Northern have not had the chance of taking a shot in the Itu State Constituency seat.

The Coalition maintained that the strict reservation of the Itu State Assembly seat in 2023 to Itu/OMA will engender peaceful co-existence and harmonious interaction from the zone as the food basket of the state.
The Coalition also tanked the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for appointing one of their sons from Iti/Oma Engineer Bssey Okon as a member of his cabinet.
The Coalition also stated that the ugly security situation in Itu/Oma Zone which prevents the people from Farming, Fishing, Water Transporation, and enjoying other God-given aquatic splendor will be arrested by an indigene of the Zone in the state House of Assembly.
