Also the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, and that of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu joined Governor Udom Emmanuel and wife, Martha at the event to thank God for His grace upon the people of Akwa Ibom.

Governor Emmanuel in a remark described love, humility, and kindness as core values that Jesus Christ exemplifies in the commemoration of His birth.

He said the people of Akwa Ibom have every reason to thank God, most especially in 2020, when COVID-19 ravaged the global community, leading to the postponement of the Christmas Carol, last year.

The Governor also acknowledged God’s grace in the development strides in aviation, industrialization, and agricultural sectors in the State, despite financial challenges.

Governor Emmanuel who took Bible reading from Isaiah 51, highlighted the theme of this year’s carol festival, “THE RETURN” urging people to shun hatred and push him down syndrome.

At the event which took place at the Ibom Hall Grounds,  gospel artists from within and outside the State, including Panam Percy Paul, Aity Dennis, Bobby Frigga, Ada Ehi, David G, Progress Effiong, Tim Godfrey, Ema Onyx, and Ibom Mass choir rendered praises to God to the admiration of the audience.
